Lucy Jane Phelan was a passionate and energetic musician. She excelled in playing the violin and piano. She studied music at university and went on to become a teacher. She worked around Worcestershire and the West Midlands gaining respect and adoration from both her colleagues and pupils. Her colleagues described her as the most incredible music teacher and that they loved sitting in on her music lessons as they were inspirational and the children were mesmerised by her. She taught at the same school as her dad for a while. Her colleagues from that school have memories of her accompanying dad on her electric violin at school events.

Lucy loved all genres of music. She regularly played in orchestras, events, open mic nights, etc. If you were lucky you got a private performance-she didn't need much persuading ! Whenever she played she would do this in an expressive, animated way and sometimes with a bit of mischief thrown in.

Lucy passed away on 14/5/25. Lucy recognised the healing powers of music and the positive effect it has on mental health and well being. The family know that she would be honoured to fund raise for a cause that has the same values and goals as she had. Her family and friends will take comfort knowing that the children and young people are benefiting from Lucy's legacy.
